The transfer case adapter I ordered to mate my dana 300 to my NV3550 allows me to clock the t-case at different heights. What's the highest I can clock the t-case w/o cutting the floor or doing a body lift, and what would I need to do to be able to use a flat skid plate/cross member? I don't have the drivetrain in the Jeep right now, so knowing where to cut and how much would be a challenge for me. I need a new crossmember/skid plate, and am thinking of making one out of 3/16" steel braced with 1" rectangular steel tube. I'd really like to not do a body lift.
