Hi, I'm new to the list.
I rebuilt an 85 CJ-7 a couple of years ago.
I still can't get rid of the rear (pcv) valve cover
line spewing out oil. I've extended the line about 2 ft hoping it would drip back into the valve cover. No go!
Ideas?[addsig]

Sounds like you got a clog somewhere. Also Check you valve cover to see if it is gummed up. [addsig]

Hi thanks much. I'm not sure where this tube that you cleand out is. Is it inside the valve cover? The pcv valve tube is new. My problem is the other "hole" on the valve cover that went to the old air cleaner. I stuck a rubber tube about 2 ft long to catch the oil. I have fuel injection now.

The rear hole on the valve cover is the fresh air intake. If the pcv hose is new make sure it is routed right and the valve itself is clean. Inside the valve cover by the pcv valve hole is a baffle that can get glogged. If it is coming out your rear intake then you have a clog or pcv is not working on letting out the pressure.[addsig]
