can anyone tell me whether or not the bearings on a ford spindle are the same as a chevy spindle? i know ford is a 5 bolt pattern and chevy is 6 but i have a feeling that the bearings are the same. does anyone know? thanks chris

Get on Autozone's website and put in the model number for the Chevy then do it again for the Ford.
What axles are we comparing here? If both are 44's then I think they will be the same, 60's also. The Chevy 10 bolts may be different.

yeah it is a 44...i had a feeling the bearing would be the same.

They are the same on a 44. I looked it up under both models as 1980 3/4 ton trucks.
Timken LM104949 brg and JLM104910 race for the inner and Timken set 45 for the outer.
I believe these are the same numbers that were on my old Scout axles as well.
