I'm working on it now... I'm going to put a 8.25 in this weekend and cut my fenders... here is a daytime pick

here's her first day home.97 xj,4.0,auto,D30/C 8.25,3" BDS lift..

out on her first official mud run (lost a fender flare that day..)

Toys for tots snow run (lost a flare that day also)

rockers were rotted so i had em cut out and 2x5 square tubing welded in place..also a simple C channel front bumper to replace beat up stock..

i've had about 3 stock flares pop off while on the trails..i did run flare-less for a bit but mounted some TJ flares to pass inspection..currently flare-less again..

Here's mine.

Current:
'84 XJ
2.8 V6 (is that jealously I hear?)
spooled D44 rear
Aussied and alloyed HPD30 front
4.88's all around
35" MTR's
~2" of lift
A few other mods.

Future:
4.3/700R4/Unknown TC - would like to do a 231/231 doubler but would also like to do front digs? Might just go with cutting brakes and selectable rear locker instead?
Once the 4.3 is in I'll finish the dash and make it street legal.

Pretty happy with the size. If I get new tires I would like to go with some 35" Krawlers and DIY beadlocks. If I want bigger tires I'll probably go full buggy or I'll throw some (serious) tube at a Blazer or TJ.

Here is the latest with the new TSLs. I'm going to do a bit more trimming and cut out the lower rear quarters. Just wanted to see it with the tires on.

It actually did better with 35s but once I do some more cutting it should be fine.

Six hundred bucks?!? That's pretty sweet, man! Nice find, congrats!! I wouldn't mind having a Cherokee at all. Good find. Anything major wrong with it?

Small crack in the front windshield and no fender flares... Other than that its a good runnin jeep with 140k for miles... No fluid leaks, knocks, pings, vibration nothing.... I scored lol
