Cherokee clutch problem

I've got an 88 Cherokee with a 4 speed. The clutch master cylinder went out(all over the fuse box actually) and I've replaced it. The problem is I can't get the darn system to bleed out. I've got no pressure on the pedal and no matter how much I bleed the system I'm still getting air out the bleed screw.

Anybody got any suggestions?

Hi, welcome to the board!

I know what you mean, my master cylinder has puked fluid into my fuseblock at least 3 times :x. You'd think Jeep would know that liquid and electricity don't mix . You might want to pull off the bulk-head connector and spray some electrical contact cleaner in there, to maintain the integrity of the connections.

Sorry, don't have much advice about the clutch, maybe the Master cylinder has to be bench bled first?? (like a brake Master cylinder)

Thanks for the welcome and the suggestion on the fuse block! This is a nice site you guys have going here.

I think I may be making progress on the clutch, I'm actually getting some back pressure on the pedal now. I think I may just need to keep bleeding it.
