I have had my lift kit and tires in the garage calling my name for about six weeks, and i finally had some time to get them on. It took 12 hours with 3 guys, and many trips to the store for tools i didnt have. Check out the pics.

Dude your pics are workin' !

After my factory bumpstops fell off, I assumed i didn't need them at all,
OH YA pics are still not working

It looks like the pictures are linked to a MSN photo album and you have to have passport.net to view them. I try to stay away from Microsoft Software that tells MS where/who you are at all times....

Lift Spending Advice?!

hmmmm i see them the loft looks good and the tools everywhere reminds me of when i did my life ahhhhhh that was fun...

weber 38 too much cfm for stock 258?

Yeah I ment to say AREN'T but I see them now... and I say, SAAAAWWEEEEET! I mean, sweet.

Looks dang nice. I especially like the tail lights. Great look and cheap if ya pop one, what deal!!!

It's a 4 inch superlift, that I found on ebay for 500, with a little body lift and spring spacers i probly could have got 35's, but I got a great deal on the slightly used 33's from the jeep wrecking yard, of of a cj5 that was rolled. Im real happy with the out come and I'll let you guys know how it wheels.

looks good man. wish I lived in Cali so I had some more warm days to work on mine. It's already in the 40s here in PA. blah. out of curiosity, what tools did you end up buying that you didn't have? I've got a pretty basic tool set and was wondering how well equipped I'd be for such a job.

Looks GREAT! Congrats on a job well done. - ain't it even sweeter having done it yourself!?!

Thanks for all the complements. I only had a limited supply of torx thinamagigs, The size I needed was a 55, (bigger than what I had), I also had to get some dremmel tips to grind out ecsess metal in the rear control arm brackets. And I couldnt find my drill bits any where. so I went out and bought a whole new set. Of course, when I was cleaning up tools after the lift, I found them under my tool box. rrrggghhh that always seems to hapen.
Other than that, the pitman arm "puller" that they gave me at AutoZone was the wrong one, and I had to go way out of my way to get the right puller.
Every thing else was basic sockets and wrenches that you should have.
But check out the pitman arm nut, I didnt have a socket large enouph (I think it is a 1, 1/4 th or 1, 1/2 inch socket, I ended up using a big cresent wrench and my control on the wrench to give me leverage. THat sucker was on tight.
Every tool I needed required its own trip to the store, but I was lucky enough to have buddy's makin progress while I was gone.
Any way thats about it.

Looks awesome!!!!!!! Every time I see someone else with a new lift on their TJ it makes me more and more anxious to get mine :!:

Yeah, someday - soon.

I fear I will ruin him if I do this myself. I need some boys to help. I have been made fun of by friends that say I will have the Jeep in peices, and not be able to get it back together. I figure if I have some jeeper boys to help, i'm good to go. I can cook dinner, and i'll supply the beers! Takers?

Oh yeah, looks wicked good. I like the 33's.
