im getting ready to replace my carb and i was wondering if anyone can tell me how to identify what carb i have on it right now the only thing that i found on it was 4 numbers(8384) i dont know what they are if anyone can help that would be great my engine is the 4.2

I don’t know about the numbers but if it has a wire gang plugged into it, it is probably the stock BBD piece of crapola. I would do a Nutter Bypass and swap in a Motorcraft 2100-2150; cheap, easy to rebuild, and work.
