I want to squeeze 30-31" tires under an '01 XJ. I am guessing I need a 1" lift. What is the cheapest and easiest way to acheive this? Thanks guys.

You'll need a full 2" for 30's and 31's will be tight even on the road with 2" but it can and has been done.

Rocky Road outfitters makes a nice 2" lift using front spacers and for the rear shackles and a 1/2" lift block.

Rubicon Express and Rustys offroad use the front spacer/ rear AAL method, which works well also.

3" kits are pretty cheap... maybe you might want to consider 3" and 31's???

I Have a 3" lift kit sitting in my garage still in the box if you are interested im only looking for about a hundred dollars for it.

Go with a 3" kit for both of those tire options. Rusty's Offroad has front 3" coils for $99pr. and go with a full-length AAL in the rear.

It's a Pro Comp 3" lift that consists of coilspacers and an add-a-leaf for the rear and hardware to install it. Everything that came in the box is in the box still, i have opened it to check it out its all brand new. let me know if you are interested in it.

I looked in the box and it just needs the U bolts but i do have 4 in my garage that should fit the dana 35 rear axle, i would be happy to give them away if you need them i have no use for them they are too small for my Ford 9" rear.
