Brrrr! No Heat!

Hey all,

Well, up here in the great white north I've just experienced my first real COLD day --40 degrees! Frost was on the windows this morning! Anyway, drove an hour north to the cottage to fix a few things and much to my chagrin the heater wasn't working in my 99 TJ.

Common problem? Any idea where to look first?

I gotta go,

40??? i thought you said cold... haha... i know... i went a winter with no heat one year... in my blazer... my switch was stuck in the off position... i just never had time to get it fixed... and we get some COOOOLD winters here...

what is not working, the core, the fan?

does the ehater even sound like it is blowing? if it is but its not comming out the cable might have went bad and not switching the flaps for the hot air. that happened to my 97 TJ and i had to change it to heat from under the pass dash when ever i wanted heat

was your engine temp where it is supposed to be? could be a stuck t-stat.....

nonono, its 40 degrees F (right above freezing) ;)

I swapped the fuse for the HVAC and it seems to be working, of course the old fuse looked good too. We'll see if its working tomorrow..
