Broke my doohicky

I broke the doohickey that holds the wires that go through the axle housing for my elocker. Does anybody know what it's called and where can i get one I tried the local hardware stores and auto parts stores with no luck. Been searching the internet, but no luck without knowing the name of it.

Could try an contact the Eaton or whoever makes the lockers for a new one if you are having no luck finding alternative replacement.

Yes, It's a hollow tube with threads on the outside. Kind of like a close nipple and it has a cap on one end with a hole in it for the wires to go through. Inside the cap is a chunk of soft plastic like material with a hole through it and when you tighten the cap the plastic tightens on the wires to hold them in place.
I'm completely rebuilding the ford 8.8 that i put in last year and putting a set of 4.88 gears in it. When i took the rear end out I broke the doohingy off.

Sounds like a small cord grip.

Try radio shack or an electrical supply co.

Yup. Cord grip is what it's called. Thanks Mark. I'll check with radio shack or one of the big box hardware stores next time i get to town. None of the local hardware stores carry them.

Thanks jimbob. I'll put that in my search and try it also. I went to home depot yesterday and they didn't have anything smaller than 1/2 inch. I need 1/4 inch. I'll be trying radio shack sometime this week and if that doesn't work out, I'll try to get ahold of the locker mfg.
