When you put your TJ flares on the YJ, just out of cuiosity, what did you do to protect the cut edge. I painted mine as well as used a libral amount of silicone chalking on the cuts.
Have you had any new found rust?

Also, how or did you secure the inner fender lining on the rear?

And lastly, I got thelowest part of the flares to sit flush with the front rockers, but the rears hang a little lower (about 1/2 inch) did you have this. If I cut any higher I will be in the tub.

The flares are off a 2001 sahara if it makes a difference, going on a 94 YJ.
All cut are made just need to put the rears on, but wanted some questions answered!

Thanks
Johnny

I hit the cut edges with Rustoleum and haven't seen any rust yet. The bottom of the rear flares ended up being an 1/8" long, not noticable. Black flares are easily trimmed with an angle grinder (leading edge of fronts is a must) but I don't know how painted flares will cut.

I did away with the rea wheelwell liners, don't really need 'em. You may want to spray the inside of the rear wheelwell with some Bedliner or undercoating, or roll on Herc to deaden sounds.

Thanks Bro, I was able to retain the wheel well liner. Just cut it flush with the metal and it gets nice and neatly stuffed behind the flares mounting lip
(what ever it is called) I will have to do some trimming of the flares to get rid of the over hang, but a friend of mine is a body man and said to wait till I paint the flares to match before I cut and to use a saw or knife, something that won't create too much heat!
