bottoming out in cold weather

Bad idea like jester said you need to either replace your stock leafs for oem spec leafs or get a lift with a full pack an AAL will just last you a short time and then you will be at the same place you started you might look in to ******* packs if you don't want new springs it might help for a longer. What distance are you getting from the center of your rim to the bottom of your fender flair

i meant the lift that includes the add a leaf, the stock leafs are fine its the fact that the tires are to big and theres not enough clearance to carry much weight

If it was mine I would find a nice built good riding spring. I have made spring packs using the xj main leaf and the rest from a Dakota truck. It rides good and flexes alright

im thinking of getting the lift and new bumpstops asap and replacing the stock leafs later when i have the money

Cool it should look good. The add a leaf should last at least 2 or 3 years. I've ran them before.

awesome, thats more than enough time to get a whole new set of leafs, thank you so much for all your help!

hey hey! i just talke to my uncle and he said he could get me a free 2inch spacer lift, scrap the add-a-leaf idea, cant beat free! only god knows what these spacers will look like or what they will be made of, brand etc, but how do i know if its a good lift for my jeep? free sounds too good to be true and i need some tips and pointers on how to tell a good spacer lift from a bad one

Rear will have a taper and be cast steel with a centering pin. If it don't have that I wouldn't put it in.

okay whats a good material? i know polyeurithane is always good, but do they make it from other stuff? wood or metal seems bad for it, but i know people use it

my uncle likes home grown projects... it worrys me lol

A leaf block should alway be metal. The taper should be thinnest side to front and it will only fit on the leaf one way. Front spacers are usually a composite material.

And it goes between the axle and the leaf. The taper corrects the driveline angle by tilting the diff slightly upwards.

awesome, thanks for the tips, ill post pictures in a week or so when i get it on
