Body Lift

Currently I have a 2" body lift, and I was wondering could I take this out, and cut the blocks down to 1" and reinstall them? I'm not partial to the body lift, and 1" would be plenty for me.

Thanks.

I don't see why not, you may need to cut down the bolts as well.

Yeah, I have a motorized band saw, usually cut steel with it, but it would go through these pucks in seconds. I believe they're made of some sort of hard plastic, maybe even fiberglass, but I doubt the latter.

If you know a machinist or somebody with a lathe you can easily do it there and they will all be perfectly straight and even. A saw and a sander to clean them up works too, it just takes more time. Run a threading die backwards onto each bolt and cut it to length and chamfer the ends a little, then when you back the die back off it will clean up the threads where you cut it. New bolts are really cheap though.

there would be no reason you couldn't do it very easily... and... i'd say to replace the bolts rather than cutting them down
