bearing nut size??????

Does anyone know what size the nut is that holds the bearings in. I think it is in the 2 inch range. It is for the front axle on an 80 CJ5 with a dana 30 I think. I have a 1 7/8 and it looks at least a few sizes bigger.

Sorry if that was not clear I need to know what size socket will fit it so I can take it off.

i know that my yj dana 30 is a 36mm socket...hope this helps ya!

Are they manual hubs ? I f so go to advanced auto they have a book that lists the hub nut sizes.

Yea they are manual. Autozone can usually look it up but the nut is not available so they can not look it up. I don't think there is an advanced auto here.

Dunno what size it is, but Jeep places sell the socket... somebody might list the size.
