Has anyone got a Banks Ram-Air Intake on their Wrangler 4.0?

IMO, all those after market air flow kits are not worth the money. The hp gain is in the 4K-4.5K rpm range. And the gain might be what an exrta 5 hp.
Just run a replacement KN on the road and paper offroad.

Don't our wranglers come with a some-what cold air intake i mean you got that spout that sticks WAY up, i just stick with K&N filters

That Banks kit sure looks cool though, that's for sure!!! How much they want for one of those? Probably more than the k&n kits I'm assuming

Before I went forced induction, I cut a hole on the passenger side fender and ran a 3" pipe to it and had the filter on the outside of the engine compartment. Made a HUGE difference.

Before I'd spend all that coin, I'd simply add a conical K&N filter to the end of the 4.0L airtube. Cheap and easy. Second I would buy one of my 62mm throttle bodies :D

Just adding a normal cone filter inside the engine compartment is great for everyday drivers, but when you are doing slower off roading you will be sucking in huge amounts of very hot very thin air. The Jeep's i-6 does not take well to humid hot air.

In my experience it does. You can noticibly feel the the engine being heatsoaked by hot air. Maybe I'm just obsessive about it.
