Bad TPS, do I need a Mopar replacement?

My 2005 TJ has started having a high idle. I'll start it up, and the idle will be normal for two seconds, then shoot up to about 1900. Once warmed up it will idle at 1200 RPM. My code scanner said that I've got a bad TPS.

My question is, do I need a new Mopar unit, like this one:

Or is it safe to cheap out and get one like this:

From what I understand, a bad TPS could leave you stranded, but at the same time, I don't want to waste money I don't have to. The old balancing act..

Inhave bought amazon and ebay, plus rockauto and had no trouble. I never buy oem except on the trans cable for the rhd.

We just put a rockauto fuel pump in the 97 we just got amd it runs

My experience is non OEM brand fail right out of the box.

Consider cleaning it well. There is a post out there cleaning an TB IAC for dummies.

I had a 1990 XJ for 13 yrs. I replaced the TPS twice with an after market one during the first 6-7 yrs before replacing with a factory one so there maybe some truth in what JPN said. That TPS was still working correctly when I sold it.
