Please Help, i have YJ and it would appear i have 39 - 11 front axle and 37 - 9 rear, dont know which dana axles they are, what is the best ratio and where can i get the correct ring and pinion set?

what year YJ do you have? Motor size? Transmission type? Tire size?

The 39-11 is a 3:55 mostly comes on six cyl with auto transmission.

The 37-9 is a 4:11 which comes on 4cyl with standard transmission.

I would go with the 4:11.

if they are different ratios, I would say to get one of the gearsets changed asap before going into 4wd

Thanks Guys, its a 1993 YJ 6cyl 4.0L man. trans. i believe the front is the correct one but would like to know which ratio would be best running currently on 255 / 70 15. + where can i buy a pinion set on the net with wourld wide delivery as i'm in Saudi. :

Cheers Guys, went for the 3.55 ratio, now working just fine :D
