Amc 360 headers


Ive always run headmen. I ran hooker headers once and liked them too. Headmen has fenderwell, or in the frame headers. fenderwells puts the exhaust under the doors like sidepipes, and the in frame is just that, they are with in the frame rails and you can run a full exhaust out to the back.. I like the in frame headers better myself, but check under your jeep before ordering them to make sure you will have room to run the exhaust out to the bad. If you get the fender well headers you may have to trim just a bit of the inner corner of the front fender so they don't hit. I had to trim mine, and its just on the inside of the fender, it doesn't affect the paint or shape of your fender opening. I trimed maybe a 1/4 to 1/2" by maybe 2" area.
 
Ok thanks. I have a set of hedman headers. Gonna clean them up and put in a new set of remflex gaskets. Not sure what to do about exhaust ? Running a set of purple horneys right now. Lol. Basically a glass pack exhaust. Maybe put a flow master muffler.
 
LOL, I had purple horneys before. It was a love and hate thing with them, they were very loud but I liked the look. Put the headers on first, THEN see how much room you have for the muffler. I had to get small mufflers for mine, I want flowmasters next. My mufflers are bolted right up to the header, no exhaust pipe.

Lol they are very loud but sounds pretty good. Mine are bolted right up to the headers to. And I like the look to. I cleaned up the headers today paint is drying. Will put on next week. Trying to find these damn bolts. Cheers
 
HUH, I thought I put up a link for them, must have not hit the submit button. summit racing, jeggs, Mr.gasket, ARP, they all have them ranging from about $8 up to $100. I would get the 5/16 heads on the bolts.
