I was looking through the new stuff on quadratec and I found that they are selling alteeza style tail lights for wranglers

Now i'm a little confused on exactly how i feel about this... I mean on one side, jeeps REALLY NEED a better tail light. So far the best one i've seen are those LED conversions that some people are doing...

But alteeza's on a jeep?
I'll have to think about that one... They seem a little "dainty" to me...
Then again, i've never seen an installed application, so i have no idea if they will look tasteful or not...

I seen 'em on a jeep. the "smoked" style color. If yer down with the thugsories I say go for it. I don't really like 'em. the LED are the best thing I seen done to the jeep's tail lights. I can't get myself to do the mod.

The little kicker here is the last phrase.. "Will not work with any type of guard, grill, or cover".
Well now you want me to spend 179.95$ for fancy tail lights and my fancy light cages will not fit over them?
hummm let me think...plain old standard type Jeep trailer type tail lights with 1/4 inch steel cases to keep branches, rocks and other things from braking them.. or 179.95$ Euro Tail Lamp that will not take any cages yet...hummmm Hard one here...but my boy say yes there tight!

NOT!

I agree UTAH. I love those generic trailer lenses. I think i see more of them on trucks then on jeeps. Anyway as Snitty says "remember, if its only for looks, its a waste of money" and my best friend has those on his civic, and thats where they belong, on riceburners.
