Well I did a little fabricating the last few days, and after a road trip and some off-roading I have come to this conclusion....SWAY BAR DISCON> rock I don't know what I would do without them .......I have a tech article write up that I am working on but for the time being here is a quick cut down version....COST $8.31 this is what you will need except 2 of everythin in this picture...except the penny LOL
image-missing.png

and as you will notice I grinded down one end into a cone shape...OK the FIRST thing you will need to do is remove the old bolt......like so....

and after you get it out it will look like this.......

and the jeep will look like this .....

Ok now that we have that out of the way this is what the new bolt/pin will look like when it is ready to go in.......
image-missing.png

remember you will need double the supplies of what is in that picture. Ok now we are ready to put it on the jeep and I recomend a little lubercation to get it to slide on through the rubber bushing.....
image-missing.png

Then it will end up looking like this....
image-missing.png

all you need to do is pull the pin and pull out and hit the trail.... :-O :-O :-O

Like I said this is very general and if you have any questions let me know and I will
give you a hand....This has been tested on and off-road over 500 miles .....
USMPK9 was there and saw the difference it made........

Well done there, you. :-D

That's a savings of around $70,
Hmmm, wish it would work for me,
but since I BUSTED my factory
sway bar, I'm stuck spending.
:-x :-x :-x

Great photos, LOVE the penny
for perspective, See guys, That's
why ""my"" pics are so good.

Jhiggins, shoots them.

Well Done Brother.

Here's one just for you!
You've earned it.

That's a good way of doing it cheep. You can also do your trac bar like that for more drop. :-) [addsig]

the only problem with that with the tracbar is reconnecting it... it is not REALLY hard... but you have to get everything lined up once again... but on level ground, it should not be a big deal[addsig]

That wouldn't work on the TJ. The Top connection is not vertical, it is Horizontal. This would however work on the bottom connection. Do you have any issues witht he Disconnected Sway bar getting in the way? Seems that you could bend the Disconnect if you leave it dangling under the fenderwell?[addsig]

Sweet set up, I have the same set up on my trac bars on my 94 YJ!

I would definatly give that a whirl but when I bought my lift, it came with sway bar double disconnects.

On a TJ it is different but once disconected you can
(both sides) you can rotate the sway bar up and
make some way to secure it and you should be good.....
:-D [addsig]

Here you go for all you wonderfull TJ owners it is the same way except for the Bottom Bolt...

Then all you need to do is rotate and secure, make sure both sides are un-done before rotating...
