Adjusting hydrolic clutch ??

Hi..my first post..my first jeep..great place for good advice..

I have a 94 Wrangler, 4.0, 5 speed, all factory, 104k miles. My transmission and clutch seem to be working great, but I have to let the clutch half way out before it engauges. A real pain on hills or when you need a light touch. The master cyl is full. Is there anyway to get it to enguage nearer to the floor? If there is no adjustment, could it be worn out parts? Could it be a matter of bleeding the system, and if so, how do I go about that..

Lots of questions from a new guy !!! any help will be great

Welcome to Jeepz.. A hydraulic actuated clutch is a self adjusting system and a linkage/ Bellcrank type clutch system are adjustable. As a Rule, if the clutch pedal is released halfway up it's full travel indicates that your Clutch components are worn. i.e., Clutch disc, pressure plate.

Thanks for the reply Mr. Headz.. Thats what I was afraid of.. Looks like I get to tear into it, Oh well, Its only money!!! Reading through the posts it appears that the Luz kit is recomended.. Any good words of advice where the best/cheapest place is to order this?

I dont think the word "Best" and "Cheapest" can go together in one sentence.. The best clutch kit i've been using so far is the Hays performance clutch Kit.. Check out our 4X4 vendor section and give them a call. Shop around and you MIGHT even get a break on the price since your a member.

Thanks guys...Your right..I don't want cheap...but I want the best for the cheapest price I can get!! Still waiting on my stimulis package!!
