Add A Leaf or 1" Body Lift???

I just want maybe an inch or so of more tire clearance, so which would be better for me to do. I have a 91 with 31's which I'm fine with for now. I know the body lift would be cheaper but my springs are kinda flat lookin.

I don't do body lifts anymore since after........ the wreck when the body went forward and the frame stopped, ahh good times, good times.

Not sayin that's not a very good reason not to lift the body but curious, is there any other reason not to lift body ?

If you put much more than 1" on you will see alot of "body roll" when cornering hard. Also, body lifts do not give the advantage of extra ground clearance. This is essential when just that one little rock (stump..whatever) is just 1" too tall and giving your axle trouble clearing it!

Grab a set of used YJ front spring packs, cut the eyes off, and use the top two leaves from each pack for your 4 AAL's. This will give 1.5" of lift without stiffening the ride or needing to change anything else.

Installing TJ flares is another good option for more tire clearance on a YJ.
