A Fitting Milestone

This evening as I pulled into the drive after work, I happened to glance down at the odometer and it was just turning over to 100,000 miles! That was so cool!!! I mean, over the years, I've put roughly 1 million miles on a handful of vehicles, and they've always done the big number turnovers out on the highway, and I missed most of them. So to see it actually happen in my own driveway really made my day.8) That also means that I've put just over 45,000 miles on it in 2 1/2 years.:( I really need to get another DD.

I promised myself when I bought my Jeep that I would have a lift on it before it turned over 100k miles....oh, so close, as the lift is going on next week!

Just thought I'd share this cool milestone with you all. Anybody else have any cool stories of when their vehicles turned over the big one?

Congrats! Tell me that you're not getting 346+ miles per tank of gas

Ummm.....yeah, I am. Actually getting just over 400 miles on a 20 gallon tank of gas. I'm still averaging just over 21 mpg.......8)

Haha, I hate it when my vehicles hit 100,000 miles. It just seems like so many miles compared to 99,999 miles or less.

My daily driver ('00 Yukon Denali) is at like 98,000 miles right now, and I've been riding my street bike as much as possible just so I don't get to 100k anytime soon! Plus I'm trying to sell it, and I'd rather tell people it has 90k something on it then 100k..

Well good for you! I guess?? Mine is at around 97 or 8.. I keep thinking that is WAY too many miles and I just bought it! I think the same way and I guess it's wierd. I don't think I have ever owned a car with over 100 on it... I also wanted to add that when I saw the pic ......I was hyperventilating from all the dirt on that dashboard!!! GOOD LORD! I feel like I can't breathe when I see that kinda stuff. Send me your address... I will be over tomorrow with my Armor All!!!! :purple: Although I have been scoutin' around to find some muddy puddles lately.... my jeep is still a virgin you know... I don't think it's ever seen mud! I drove past this giant mud puddle the other day that has been just sittin there waiting for me to barrel through it... I was ready and then I thought OH NO.. what if there would be some tadpoles in that thing?? God forbid I run one of them over....I am a frog lover...so... needless to say.. the Jeep is still clean :( I don't know where to get muddy without runnin down trees and whatnot. I don't wanna inflict any pain.....I JUST WANNA GIT DIRTY!!!!! Hey TwistedCopper.. where can I get dirty around Pottstown??? Not really ME, just my Jeep.;)

Ah, you and the hubby should take a day trip to Paragon and hit some green trails (beginner):

It's probably only a little over an hour away from ya. I said day trip because it would be easy to spend the entire day there.

Look into joining a local club and going with a group, you'll need to go with 3 or more vehicles anyhow (for safety reasons).

Here's another one, Rausch Creek:

These are good, legal places to go 4 wheeling.

Whaddaya mean? That's clean, relatively speaking.....You'd probably really freak if I showed you all the mud on the INSIDE of the windshield!!!:purple:

As for getting your Jeep dirty....you're just gonna have to do it, damn the tadpoles!! Just go for it and pop that Jeep's cherry!!!:D

I have never owned a car with 100k miles. In high school I had an 87 Dodge Omni with 36k miles, sold that for a saturn (ugh) that died at 80k miles, bought a brand new 2000 TJ and sold it with 21k miles, then bought my Grand Cherokee and she only has 72k miles on her now. In between I had a 2nd car, a 1972 Olds Cutlass but that only had 82k miles on her when I sold it. I promised myself I would keep the Grand Cherokee until 100k but now that I am in FL I am itching for my TJ again :)
