'99 RE 2"lift

I'm new to cherokees and need to know if a 2" RE lift will clear 31" tires on a '99 sport (for road use only.. just sprucing up my daily driver). I would go with a 3" Rusty's lift, but I've heard a 3" lift with the 8.25 rear axle makes for some driveline vibes, which I don't have the desire to deal with. Any suggestions?

I did the Daystar 1 3/4" spacer front and 1" shakle on my wifes's 01. I left the front isolater on, so it's more like 2" in the front. I put 30x9.5 n hers and they fit, but that's about as large as I'd go on a 2" lift. The BFG long trails on hers are almost as tall as my 31's. Something to look into anyway.

The daystar shackel lift with 30x9.50's sounds right. That's what they said when I called them. The picture I'm referring to below is of a 1999 sport with the Rubicon Express 2" standard lift which contains a 2" front spacer, 2" rear add-a-leaves and shocks. This guy has 31x10.5 BFG AT's on the stock wheels and claims only minor rubbing at full turn. The reason I question this is because I've never seen anyone else with this setup. But if it does in fact work, then I can be assured that driveline mods can be avoided. After seeing this picture, does any of this make sense? (go to www.rockcrawler.com RIDES- Todd Roppa)[addsig]

I personally would not run 31" with only a 2" lift. The 30x9.5 work fine. You may even be able to find a manufactuure that makes a 30x10.5 or 11 tire. I would shop around for that.[addsig]
