92' Cherokee/Tires

I own a 92' Cherokee L. and i have the stock wheels and tires and i was wondering how much bigger i can get with out any problems, or with out lifting, cuz im going to price tires tomorrow also whats a good brand thankz![addsig]

I´ve always put 235/75 R 15´s on my XJ´s with only slight rubbing at full turn. The rubbing never damaged the tire. The tire measured 29 1/2 inches inflated. It´s said that 30" tires will fit, but I can´t attest to that. Did ride in a friends with 255/70 15´s which didn´t seem to create any problems, his was a newer model with fresh springs.[addsig]

So your saying that on a older cherokee that it will rub with 30s under it?

30" tires will rub the fenders and possibly the control arms on a stock XJ. You can pick up a 2" lift for about $150, and a 3" for about $200.[addsig]
