I have had an intermittent problem with stalling since I got my YJ over a year ago. When the engine is warm and I'm cruising along, the engine cuts out abruptly, then restarts. It may do that a couple times in several minutes, then the problem disappears for several months. Up until yesterday it wasn't that big of a problem. I had to pull over when it wouldn't stay running. It would restart, but as soon as I touched the gas pedal, it stalled. After letting it cool down for a few minutes, It got me home, bucking once within sight of my driveway. I don't think it's bad gas or the whole tank would cause problems. It runs perfectly otherwise. I would think dirty injectors would cause consistently poor running and rough idle too. Replaced within the last 5000 miles: fuel pump, fuel filter, coil, plugs (brand new + old ones were clean), air filter, cleaned throttle body. It does not show a check engine light, making me think it's not TPS, MAP, or O2 sensor. It has 127,000 miles indicated, but with larger tires most of its life, I guesstimate about 140k actual. Would the PCM be affected by heat? Acts like vapor lock on a carburetor. Any suggestions appreciated.
