Just looking for a little advice. I came across an 89 YJ 98,000 miles stock suspension brand new weber carb, heater blower, and vacuum lines to 4 wheel drive. The YJ does have a cracked winshield, no carpet, all the gauges but one work i think its the amps meter that is not working, interior is really clean for a 14 yr old vehicle. To make a long story short I offerd the guy $2000.00 bucks and after a day of thinking about it he agreed he was asking $2,500. He is a good friend of mine so I really dont think anything major is wrong with it that he knows of anyway. What do you think should I buy it or try to get it cheaper?????[addsig]

That's a great deal! Most states require windshield coverage for automobiles and it cost's nothing to replace (at least that's how it is here in S.Carolina). The guage is probably just a faulty contact. At worst, a new guage is cheap. Finally, the no carpet is a saver. Just buy a Herculiner Roll-On kit and you're set.

I have an 89 Wrangler with a 2.5L and 155,000 miles and I would never take less than $4500 for my jeep. $2000 is a steal.

See my website for more.

I've been askin around about lifts and lookin on other websites, I found that the Rubicon Express seems to have the best lifts and that is what I'm planning on getting this summer. 2,000 is a great deal I have and 89Sahara and I wouldn't take less than 4 for it, so go for it[addsig]

I have a 1989YJ that I bought new. The only recomendation I have is "258-6". More power and longer life. I have approx 250K miles and it still runs strong. Check out my pics link to see what you can do. Suspension is a personal choice, I have Superlift springs. The ride is smoothe, they articulate just fine, no saging problems and I like that.
Have fun Jeeping
