89 char' fuel prob' ?

sorry to double post but can't figure this out. have 89 char. 4lit 6 sputters and dies. sometimes won't start. changed c.c.sensor. what i noticed was when theres a prob my fuel gauge is in the full poss.seems to have spark at the coil any help thanks

Elaborate on what a c.c. sensor is please?

Good chance it's a sensor if the engine has had a recent tune-up. Could be as simple as adjusting the throttle position sensor.

87,88,89 and 90 xjs all had the Renix operating system they have a weak sensor ground system it is VERY important to clean every ground under the hood ,and check them with an ohm meter. Many people will start replacing sensors and other stuff and not ,or will not believe that the wiring harness might need work. It is a known fact that the grounds on these Jeeps are a problem ,the factory knew it back then.
