I BOUGHT AN 88 JEEP WRANGLER RECENTLY AND THE AC IS NOT WORKING..NOT BLOWING AIR.ALL THE UNDERDASH CONTROL BOX THAT I HAVE SEEING THEY HAVE A THERMOSTAT SWITCH AND A FAN SWITCH BUT ON MY UNDERDASH THERE IS NO SUCH SWITCHES AND THE PLACE WHERE THEY SUPPOSE TO BE IS NOT A HOLE THERE.ALSO ON THE HEATHER CONTROL PANEL THERE IS AN AC MARK THAT I DONT SEE IN OTHER HEATHER CONTROLS.
IS IT AN AFTERMARKET SYSTEM? OR IS IT FOR A DIFFERENT YEAR THAT DONT USE THE FAN AND THERMOSTAT SWITCH?
THANKS FOR YOUR HELP

Best Top Skins....

the underdash unit is dealer installed and works independent of the in dash unit (that is just for heat/defrost/vent) - i had a 91 that never worked well even when charged - thats why i chucked it and used the compressor for on-board air compressor - so its not aftermarket just dealer installed (not factory)

Bob,,,,
My underdash unit didnt have the themp and fan switch so i got them but now i dont know where to connect some wires,,One plug go to the fan,, 2 wires to the cigarette lighter but then there is another black plug connector and i dont find any plug on the firewall to conect it. I could split the wires from the connector but there are 5 wires and i know the red one is for hot and the black ground but how about the others?
Can anybody help? Maybe the other wires is for the speed of the fan but where do i conect them.
Thanks
