6 inch rough country lift problems

I just installed a 6 inch short arm rough country x series lift on my 2004 TJ. The instructions aren't very clear on what to set my lower and upper control arms at. It only says to set them a quarter inch longer than the stock ones. But that doesn't seem centered now. I called rough country and he said to set them at 16 3/4 for the lowers and 15 1/4 for the uppers. If you have any ideas or know what to set the adjustable control arms at that would be extremely helpful

Well, you didn't exactly say...did you try the recommendation that the guy from RC gave you?

Didn't say? Yes I set them at what he told me but later found out that the numbers he gave me are the same as the 4.5 inch lift. Seems weird

The lowers to set your wheel base, the uppers to tune your caster.

This is for my xj but they use same front control arms. Hope this helps.
