5spd Transmission drain/fill plugs

Hi guys, Im new here, i just bought an 89 YJ, 4.2 I6,5spd manual, where are the drain/fill plugs on the transmission???? Thanks in advance.

the fill plug is on the passenger side and the drain plug is on the back driver side. i have the same year jeep as you and my plugs requirered a square head to get out. half inch driver wont work. i just ground a bolt down to fit in it then racheted it out.

Two different 5spd trannies were used in '89, early '89 had the Peugeot BA10/5

and mid '89 they switched to the stronger AX15

The pic of the AX15 shows the drain plug half way up on the driver's side, and the drain plug is a similar plug near the back along the bottom.
