3.5" RE Flex Kit vs. 4" Skyjacker Standard Series

Just trying to get an idea of what mine would look like. Having a hell of a time trying to get the lift kit. Got a website 4wheelsupply.com taking 3 days to find the "right" kit for 2005.

Im down to Skyjacker 4" Standard System w/ Hydro Shocks

vs.

3.5" Rubicon Express Flex Kit

Any advice/personal stories/etc?

Both around the same price just want to clear 33" tires and get beefed up a little.

Also anyone that might have pics of either kit on a TJ would be awesome.

This might help a little. I put 33"'s on mine with just a 2" coil spacer added. I could flex a little and not rub. Then I added my 4" skyjacker and don't rub at all unless I'm way superflexed! which is rare on the trails I frequent. All the pictures on this page are either stock height or with the 2" spacers. I haven't been able to add the pictures of it with the additional 4" yet.

The yellow one is my bro's jeep. It has an RE 3.5 superflex short arm kit with a 1 inch body lift. It drives ok on te road and flexes like crazy offroad. I'd run it if I wanted a short arm kit.

BTW the pictures with him on aluminum rims are 35 inch tires. The stock wheels are 33's. He runs 33's now.

Cool i went with the skyjacker, no more dumb questions until install day i guess :)

RE: 4 lo hard to get into

The only dumb questions are the ones not asked. I wish I had asked more. I'd have saved a bunch of money!

Hey Sully, we should get together this summer. You said you would be interested in the Dusy-Ershim trail. Even if that doesn't happen I'd like to try and wheel down there. Those desert pics look pretty sweet.
