Do you think an 8 figure salary is too little or too much for the heads of the gas companies? I realize they are in a business where the bottom line is to make money, but come on. The prez can do something about it, if they didn't have him in their back pocket. Wheat is sold on speculation, too, but you don't see the price of bread bouncing up and down (and mostly up) do you? This was a terrible year for wheat in Kansas and some surrounding states, so does that mean you are willing to pay $5 for a slice of bread? Why doesn't that happen? Because the prez and congress won't allow it. They have just as much control over the price of gas as they do pretty much any other commodity in the US, regardless of where it comes from. Too many oil lobbyists are wearing knee pads in congress and the oval office, and the prez has too much invested in Big Oil to do a damn thing about the prices.......
