Hello I am new to the board. Last week I went to drive my jeep and it just quit running. It started right up again and then quit. I had the guys at an auto parts store run the codes and it showed a hard fail for the crank sensor and an intermittent fail loop b for the cam sensor, so I replaced them. Then things started getting strange. It started and drove fine, then the instruments all went out and all the lights lit up and it still drove, then when I was back on my street it quit again. The next code was for the throttle position sensor. I removed the battery cables and took a new read the only codes that came up were for the o2 sensor heat on both sensors. I checked both fuzes and they are ok. Its got 98k on it and its been great. Pls help!

Welcome to the Z.

Check for a short in the wiring harness. Move the harness around as it crosses the intake manifold and heads toward the CPS, listening for the engine to stumble. Also clean all grounds.

Also, when your gauges goes out and the warning lamps turns on, does the odometer show " no bus"?.. This might be a corroded terminal on the cluster connector or on the PCM connector. Have someone monitor the cluster while you wiggle the wirings and connectors to possible isolate the cause. Check the O2 sensor wirings for a rub through and bad connection as well, this will give you erroneous DTC's and cause a stall intermittently.

Could be a clock spring. Did youArer someone work in the steering or get the interior wet? First do the easy and cheap. Check the battery, clean terminals and all ground connections.
