2000 Cherokee ac evaporator drain hose

From this excellent board I have deduced that my drain hose is clogged, due to the smell and the fact that if the AC is run on a long trip the air becomes warmer. Only problem, I can not figure out how to access the hose to either blow it out or run something through it. The book I bought references doing this as maintainence, however, never shows the hose or where the evaporator is.

Also, if I get the drain unplugged, will this fix the smell issue or do I need to get in and clean out the evaporator?

If the drain hose for the A/C is clogged, you'd probably have water leaking onto the floor and/or sloshing around in the dash.

There is always the possibility that your heater core has a slight leak. Does it smell like anti-freeze?
