1998 Jeep Cherokee Battery Tray Replacement

I am replacing the battery tray on my 1998 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4.0 and I'm having trouble with an electrical connection that is at the bottom of the tray. I need to disconnect a connection to feed it through the tray and I cannot figure out how to release the plug. Pictures attached.

Push the tab like button and pull it apart. Then the half you need to pull through the hole is attached with those barb thingies. Pry them out with a panel popper and pull the sensor out the hole
