Hi, I woundering if anyone could answer a question of mine about a 95 Laredo 4x4 (auto trans) that I am considering buying, but is seems to have what I call a gear whine in first and second. When the trans has shifted to third the noise is no longer audible(trans is in 2wd-cannot use 4wd until front u-joints are changed). The fluid is clean and does not smell burnt and it shifts properly. Is this a normal Jeep trans noise, to have a whiny first and second gear or should I not buy this one? I hope this is enough info, my 87 2wd Cherokee does not have this whine or is the added transfer case the cause of some added gear whine? Thanks.
