1989 wrangler 4.2 intake

How do you know if your intake is bad. An how would you check to see if it's bad.

Would this be making my jeep die when I'm driving an cut out. When it dies I can just wait a little bite an it will start right back up. But when I start driving again it will start acting up.

Intake manifolds don't generally go bad. Sounds like it's time for a new carb or carb rebuild.

could also fuel filters and or fuel pump going. why do you suspect the intake first?

I have put two different carbs on an it has a new fuel pump an filter an it's doing the same thing. One of the carbs was a electronic carb the other one was just a manual.
Could it be something in the tank?

Next time it dies, jump out and pop the hood and pull the air cleaner. Pump the accelerator and look for fuel. It sounds like a fuel issue but could be a few things
