1988 cherokee auto 4x4 6 cyl 4.0

Hello,

I recently put an alternator on my Jeep and all went well . . . except when I tried to turn it over . . . it wants to start/turn over real bad, however, it wont turn over . . . as if it was not getting any gas.

Always started on a dime . . . any suggestions.

Yes, it cranks and sounds rather good just wont get up and get going.

Did it run prior to replacing the alternator?

I have had my Jeep for about 17 years and I love it and it has ran more than it has not.

I had some recent problems with surging but with help from Jeepz . . . I have been able to figure things out and fix them.

What I do remember was when I was cleaning my positive cable I pulled on it a bit . . . I have not had time to crawl under my jeep to look ?

When I crank it, it sounds normal . . . it just sounds like it is not getting any fuel ?

Check the positive cable wire to the PDC and make sure it's got a good continuity.
