Hey guys, I have a 82 CJ-7 with a 4spd. Every few months it will get stuck in 1st gear. I have pulled and pulled on the shifter, oiled and siliconed under the gear boot with no luck. A local transmission shop freed it and didnt charge me anything. The second time it happed I had other issues...

1973 super jeep id and '77 swap I have a 81 CJ-7 and am in the process of changing steering wheels. I have removed all the bolts and this mother is stuck. It wont pull period. I did this once b4 on a Datsun 240Z and it was simple. What up? Commens suggestions anyone anyone........... :shock:

BTW, The dealer can "flash" your ECU and remove your new software. Any problems you might run into in the future that could be traced to the chip WILL void the warranty. Just a heads up.

I have an 81 CJ-7 with both brake lights out. The tail lights work fine with the lights on however, I have lost my brake lights. I checked the fuses and they were fine. I also looked over the wiring in the rear and all looked ok. Any ideas guys? Thx, Beach

Well, I bought my 81 CJ-7 in May last year. Its a weekend toy, beach cruiser/boat launcher. I have a crank shaft ventalation problem and I cant seem to find the cause. She is leaking oil from the rear main, valve cover as well as the oil pan. Not a huge deal...just very messy. This weekend...

I'm undecided as to what color to repaint my CJ. Its a neon blue with orange pin stripes and I'm ready for a new look. I have replaced almost everything in stainless steel and am wondering if silver would look good with all the chrome. Thx, Beach
