what are the steps to putting in a new clutch kit

i cant figure out how to get the gear lever out of the transmission i got to get it out so i can pull the trans out to put in a new clutch

no not that i knowof but i checked it and its in time not 180 out it was this way when i bought it i can pull back the dist and start it then move it back up manuallyand it sound good

i have a82 j10 with all the junk removed when i got it i couldnt get the distributor and carb to work together i have tryed every outlet and manfold it is a 258 six with the same carb help i want to drive it i know its a head scratcher

i am in need of a drive gear for for my j10 258 six they want 30 dollars for a new one and im still going to have to trim it down to fit a 250 chevy distrubutor that im changing to
