where to get a drive shaft? you could always bolt into to the fender wells on the inside of the jeep. you might want to ditich the rear seat tho.or you can mount it the roll bars. your best bet is to finish building your rear bumber and than figure out where you want to put it...you can go...

    Weak Starting YJ

sometimes the copper in the wires can get corroded (lots of water where i wheel) and this can cause a very weak connection. on my jeep it wasnt too hard to tell which wires were corroded but mine is also an 89 yj.

    cheerokee front drive shaft

Yeah. The AA SYE kit include a yoke that is designed to take a strap so it isnt threaded. it wouldnt be a big deal to drill it out anyway. thanks for the info.

    engine + transmission =?

never heard of an AMC 340 so i cant really help you out. the t-18 transmission(if you can find one) is a good strong 4 speed for the amc 360. someone else may be able to help you out more.

    gear swap

setting up gears is not hard...just time consuming if you dont know what you are doing. a pro could set the gears up once and get it right where as someone else may have to set it up and take it apart several times. i beleive youll need a backlash indicator and something to measure the pre-load...

What will I need to buy for a SPOA

you wont need to out board the spring unless your going to run full width axle. i didnt have to outboad my 65 inch 3/4 ton dana 44. but it depends on the axle i guess. longer brake line are a must :D you might need a high steer set-up as well.( springs get in the way)
