Well everyone I got a new jeep...its an 88 Cherokee Larado,loaded, auto, black, and have had it for one day and i love it, now comes the questions, how hard is it to change the theromostat? i have never done it before and the Hynes manual makes it sound really easy but i dont want to change it...

your temp problem sounds like a thermostat one, try buying new one and see if that is your problem, makse u pay close attention to where holes are and such because i have heard where they may be a hole or two that are put into the gasket, i am mainly a wrangler person but am comming along slowly...

i dont really have a certan lift kit in mind my next question was what lift kits are good and what ones are crap, what lift did you use its sounds like a good one and with 4.5" of lift i would be more than happy

Electric Guage red lining (89 Grand Wagoneer)..... go with a 30 or 40 series Flowmaster, only go with a Delta if you want a less noisey exaust, pesonally i like it louder....i had a friend with an old F-150 that had a gutted cat and a 40 Flowmaster on it and it sounded nice, 30 will be louder...

32" tires will fit with no lift. my friend had them on his wrangler and just put a 2" shackle lift. even now with the 2" lift they still rub with just a lil flex. he has about a 2-4" gap bwtween the tires and flairs

Frame rot i have heard of someone using hokey pucks to do a body lift, all i know is that they bought extended bolts and drilled a hole in the middle to allow the bolt go throu, so if u have any sport stores around i would try that, but DONT take my word for it, just an idea

i had the same problem in my 89 jeep with the 4.2, i had to drive with "three" feet, i rebuilt the carb and the problem dissapeared, i also noticed there was some junk in the bowl of the carb and i would prolly have to say that is what caused the problem
