Corvett sorry. It's fuel injected which is much better on gas than a 454. I have a 97tj I'm putting a chevy 5.3 in for better fuel economy and towing. I'm taking full drive train out of a 04 z71. Should be getting 20+mpg when done. Right now I'm lucky if I get 11mpg with my 4.0

A buddy of mine has a 82 cj7 he has it on 52's with a Corbett ls1 in it.

How do I take it out?? Can I just pull and it pop out or will I have to remove the cover on the housing??

No I've been taking it off dropping the distributor in with just the button on and then putting the sensor on.

If there is I don't know where or how to do it.

I know this but my distributor has a fork coming off the bottom that when it's all the way down my hold down bolt goes through and I can't turn it left or right.

No it won't stay running it will sound like it's going to start but won't and I move distributor one or two teeth left or right and no change for the better. And no I can't rotate my distributor.

I thought it has to be running to use a timing light and my distributor is no adjustable there is a fork that the hold down bolt goes through.

Well I thought I did but it is close but when I move it one tooth or either direction it still won't start. Idk I'm fed up. Bad thing is I know what I'm doing I've done this a hundred times and never had a problem like this.

Ok I took distributor and moved it counter clock wise about a 1/4 in. and it ran perfect going to back it up one tooth and I should be good. Thanks for ur help

I moved the crank 360 then replaced distributor on #1 but it still won't crank sounds like it's going to but don't. If I give it gas it will start but it's not right.

Sorry about the confusion what I was asking is if I turn it 360 that will place the time gear mark away from the crank and when I put the distributor back in at #1 when I rotate the crank one more rotation that will line the marks on the gears but won't the distributor be off of #1? When I turn the crank 360 that puts the mark on the cam gear pointing away from the mark on the cam gear. Then I move the distributor to where it's pointing to #1 but won't that keen when I turn the crank 360 again the marks will line up but the distributor will be pointing off #1. Is that...

How did u find that out? When u looked at the gears? And ur cam gear was the pin on the bottom left and the other hole at top right or vise versa when the dots lined up on the gears?
