thanks man.... how do i change the seal on the vss? can u get a seal without the switch?? also can u just get a seal for those transmission lines?? also again im used to working on the chevy camaro of mine and think i may have over tightened the pan bolts camaro takes 144lbs cherokee takes...

im used to working on chevys so this is new to me,, i have a 2001 xj automatic with a 4.0 my question is how to i remove the transmission lines at the transmission itself there leaking fluid and there appears to be some plastic collar around the lines i have no idea where to even start.. also...

so when you say it adjusts it self you mean when i shut the door it will adjust.. i actually just bought one and returned it cause it looked to long..

anybody have any info on replacing this switch 2001 xj .. do u have to go behind the kick panel and unplug the butt connector.. or do i just unthread this switch and pull it straight out.. any help would be appreciated..

on my 2001 xj 4.0l im a little unsure about TIGHTENING the serpentine belt.. do i have to loosen that tensioner pulley bolt to tighten.. or can i just turn the adjustment bolt.. some say loosen the tensioner pulley bolt then tighten.. some say just tighten.. now im confused.. besides that...

sorry defroster/ air conditiong.. which kicks on the compressor and puts more strain on the system

01 xj 4.0 like i said it just squeels for a second and the volts dont catch up till its done squeeling.. a garage put a new belt on and it was fine for a week.. then it started making noise..i know how to tension it im just affraid of putting to much tension on it.. if ya know what i mean

all pulleys are good. squeels slightly on start up. and volts take a few seconds to catch up.. squeels louder and longer naturally with defroster on.. i want to tighten it up but am unsure how,, sounds like a tightness issue im thinking what do u think
