What did you do to your Jeep today?

Almost every weekend I've been working on my CJ's dash and exterior lighting. I finally completed my center stack gauges with Autometer ultralite series. When I first built the dash several years back , i intended to do all the modifications and refinements later. I'm still working on it to this...

    90 Cherokee brake problem

Sounds like the pump relay is stuck closed. Either the module or the relay needs to be replaced. Disabling the pump by pulling the fuse should keep the pump motor from burning up. Your base brakes should remain functional however you will not have the aid of the ABS in case of a panic stop and...

Leaky water pump in an '05

On normal driving I didn't have any issues with cooling the engine down however, when I'm using my jeep on the ranch, it idles most of the time to crawl around in tight spots. The temperature gets way too high and starts to boil out even with the factory heavy duty cooling fan setup during the...

Leaky water pump in an '05

Good to know. I haven't had any problems on my AMC 360 since I've switched to the hi flow waterpump. The impeller is larger than the stock but doesn't hit the timing cover. . Sent from my iPad using Jeepz

    Looking for a hardtop

If you don't find one here, try EBay by location. That's how I found mine 2hrs away in Austin Texas. It's likely going to be a pickup only option. Sent from my iPad using Jeepz

    Wj sub installation help!

I guess the key question here is " where did you mount the amplifier?" .. If you mounted it under the seat, use the seat bracket bolt. Sent from my iPad using Jeepz

    91 jeep wrangler 4×4

Yes it's possible if you have a lot of cash laying around. If your going to pay someone to do the conversion for you, your most likely going to be paying a lot of money to get it done. Just the parts alone is going to take a lot not to mention all the modifications on the frame and axles. I just...

Leaky water pump in an '05

I don't know if there's any Hi flow water pumps available for the 4.0L like the 304 and 360's. Check with 4WD hardware or Quadratech or maybe from one of the vendors in this site. Just make sure you check the direction of the impeller in comparison to the old one before you install the new pump...

    90 Cherokee brake problem

Red brake light indicates low fluid level. Hard pedal indicates the lack of brake assist ( brake booster failure) meaning, an internal or external vacuum leak. A sudden large vacuum leak can cause the engine to stall. Are any of these issues evident? Sent from my iPad using Jeepz

    Mirrors

I'd have to agree with steady.foot. I take my doors off as well and also swap from the full doors to the half doors once in a while. Having the mirrors mounted on the windshield hinges makes more sense. Sent from my iPad using Jeepz

What did you do to your Jeep today?

Cleaned out the interior of the CJ, mostly the rear floor behind the two front seats. Filled up a 7.62 ammo can with various caliber brass of pistol and rifle cartridges. Ran 3 speaker wires to the rear, installed 2 speaker pods and a small subwoofer and amp.. Removed the center console and...

    Tj defroster

Do this test. With the blower on high, engine at idle and HVAC is set on panel , disconnect the vacuum line outside by the firewall. If the air flow output switches to default , it should go to the windshield defrost if it doesn't , there's a high probability that the issue might be on the HVAC...

    Tj defroster

Any air coming out anywhere else you switch it to? , verify that your vacuum lines are intact with no leaks. The common areas to check is under the battery tray ( vacuum reservoir) , intake manifold and by the dryer where the vacuum line tees through he firewall. Sent from my iPad using Jeepz
