I had the same problem with mine as well. And guess what, same year as yours...

Check the contacts on the socket. If they have any kind of bend to them they loose contact. Do your best to straighten and flatten them out. For some reason it's always the driver side. Hope this helps.

And just think, if they already have been clear coated thats one less thing you have to do before installing them.

Thats what I do with the ones I make. The clear coat holds up really well. By the way they do look very nice.

I'll check for the wire coming from the a/c relay as you stated. I didn't want to represent the a/c hookup on the diagram until I knew for sure what wire to use. Once I get it figured out I'll redo the diagram and repost it with the changes. Yes the diagram is basic and very simple to understand.
