    Engine and Suspension Performance

Wow. After reading all that I'm glad I never. "Upgraded lol" to a newer jeep. I remember all the chatter years ago when they were dropping the inline 6 but man I never knew the whole jeep was a weak link. Sounds like he'd be better off selling it and getting a tj, yj or an already built new...

    cj steering box options

My steering is terrible and just plain unsafe. While taking the box out the other day I realized why. The shaft (sector shaft?) attached to the pitman wobbles, the coupler at the box is shot. The upper joint that meets the column under the master cylinder gives the wheel 10 degrees of play...

    jeep/AMC 360 questions

The valve seals are def leaking. And I have yet to comp test out leak down on it as I'm still battling a lot of other stuff before I put it on the road. I'm more or less exploring options that I know how will have to consider in the future. All the emissions stuff is gone and I ripped out what...

    jeep/AMC 360 questions

I read the SBC 350 won't bolt to the AMC/gm th400 and any gm th400 that holds to the SBC 350 won't bolt to the quadratrac and replacing the quadratrac leaves you needing to replace the offset AMC 20. 360 sounds simpler and a lot cheaper in my.case

What did you do to your Jeep today?

shortened 8 plug wires, drilled out rivets so I can remove the cover over the steering box nd figure out why it leaks and maybe I'll rebuild it this weekend. Drove around illegally with out plates trying the new custom fit plug wires. Replumbed the fuel line in new custom by me stainless fuel...

    jeep/AMC 360 questions

so I ended up buying the 78 cj7 I was asking questions about weeks back. Been doing a lot of fixing since then. Still not registered yet since I still have work to do on it so I feel confident it won't leave me stranded. Anyway.. it has a 304 and the valve seals are leaking, some point I'll...

electric fuel pump for AMC 304

I need an electric fuel pump for a 304 2bbl w headers and open exhaust. The one on there is shot I believe as it pumps nothing but makes noise like a fish tank pump. Basically just the gph needs for the motor and I'll get the rest. I may go big and stick a psi regulator in line so I can adjust...

Saving up for a Jeep, which one should I get? Cj, Tj, or Yj

Cj or yj. Cheap n easy to fix and modify. I enjoy tinkering and the old feel over the ones made before 95, however the full cages of the later yjs through today's wranglers IMO are ugly. Newest jeep iid get would be about a 90-91. Plus the more computers you add to a vehicle the more...

    Weber 32 36 dgev carburator

Good job getting the weber. I swapped it on my old yj years ago and it made a world of difference. Not sure where your at with it but you'll be happy you got one when you get it tuned. Add some headers, a free flow exhaust, an hei ignition and that thing will set you free man. Have fun.

Runs well, no smoke, I had it idling for a while as I goosed it trying to get it to blow smoke. Hes got an aftermarket "mr gasket" electric fuel pump on it for some reason, I didnt ask...

    thinking of buying a 78 cj7

Hey there! Been 7 years since I sold my yj, and Im in a position to buy another jeep as soon as I unload the car thats gonna pay for it lol. I found a neglected, yet decent 78 cj7 with a 304 nearby here in st pete, fl. Went to look at it this morning and aside from the guy not having the...

    Hello again

Hi. Haven't logged in in several years since I sold my frankenYJ. I have the itch again, that jeep was my favorite vehicle is ever. Since then I've had many unique cars but none give the satisfaction of a jeep cj or yj. I'll be selling a car in a month or so and replacing it with another jeep...
