ZJ axle shaft cv style

my girlfriend has a 94 zj all time 4x4 with the cv style front axle shafts. the drivers side boot broke and let all the grease out. it finally broke and i was wondering if have to replace the entire axleshaft or if i can fix the existing piece. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Just go buy a new one. Or grab one from a junk yard. Jack it up. Pull off the tire. Then take off the two bolts holding the break caliper and tie it with some wire to something so it wont hang on the break line. On the back of the hub is three bolts that hold the bearing on so take em off. Then pull softly at first the wiggle the do what you gotta do but it will be a little heavy and the axel shaft will probly come out too. There are a few more things you gatta do but this is the jist of it.

Just get a new one they are around 50 bucks.
