Zig-Zag leaf drooper?

I was wondering if anyone has used or installed one of these. If folks are wondering what they are, its a setup that replaces the rear shackels with a sold piece of metal that joins left and rigth leafs and sorta looks like a steering assembally(I'm doing a poor job of discribing this, so the site would be better- www.nthdegreemobility.com) Anyway, I was thinking about getting better articulation by using one of these on the rear and revolver shackles on the front. If anyone has any insight that would be great. Thanks much, Paul[addsig]

Zbox... they are designed to be used along WITH revolver shackles for like 8 miles of downward travel... from what i hear, they work great[addsig]

Snitty, the zig-zag is not the same thing as the z-box. Check out the link he gave and you'll see.

I've never seen it before the latest 4wd mag, so I can't comment on it's quality or function. What's the cost? Let us know if you get it, and how it performs.[addsig]

oooh wow... didn't see the link... now THAT is different... I like the concept... there are a few things i'd have to think out on paper before i would buy them... such as what would happen when the spring is UNDER load rather than off load... when a spring compresses, the eyes move away from each other, lengthening the spring... that seems like a lot of stress on the bushings and rods... the ends of the rod seem as though they would need room to flex so that the entire assembly could move forward and back.... though, it may not be enough travel to really matter... well... i guess there is only ONE thing I could think of, not a few... anyway, I like the way the mechanics work out in it... i'm going to look into that a little more. and, if the link rod in that could be matched to the drag link and trac bar angles, i wonder if it could be used in the front[addsig]

Why not just go with the revolvers on the rear as well as the front. With the revolvers you could also install the z-box wich will give you even more travel. With these zig-zag's, they look like them might make a lot of noise from them slapping up against the frame.[addsig]

I can't speak for the z-boxes because I don't have those yet but as for the revolvers...I have had the revolvers on my jeep for a little over 2 years now and don't even know they're there. They make absolutely no noise at all. [addsig]
